Couple aren't living together yet, taking things slow
Robert Pattinson reportedly felt "blindsided" by Kristen Stewart's fling with married director Rupert Sanders and while the couple is trying to move on with their relationship, the Brit hunk is still "stung by it".
The 22-year-old actress was photographed kissing the 41 year-old in July, causing a media sensation over the apparent breakdown of one of Hollywood's top couples. Despite months apart the couple are said to have reconciled and are trying again, but Rob isn't find it easy.
“Robert was so deeply hurt by the whole so-called cheating mess,” a source told the Chicago Sun-Times.
“He’s very sensitive and really was completely blindsided by it. Even if Kristen didn’t sleep with Rupert [Sanders], as she claims, Rob still was stung by it all. He is a guy who values loyalty above everything else."
One of the worst things about the affair for Rob was how public it was made. As well as shots of the couple kissing splashed all over the tabloids, Kristen also made a grovelling public apology to the hunk referring to the fling as a "momentary indiscretion."
The insider explained: "The public humiliation was horrible, especially because his private life is something he has fought so hard to protect — obviously not so successfully.”
The couple are now reportedly taking things slow with Kristen yet to move back into their Loz Feliz mansion. Instead she has splashed out on $2 million home, a mile and a half away according to CBS news.
